3 plastic warehouses burnt in Old Town fire

A fire broke out at Devidas Ghat of Kamalbagh in Old Town of Dhaka early Wednesday.
Fire officials said the fire had originated from an electric short circuit in a plastic warehouse about 3:30am. The fire spread to two plastic factories and 12 tin-shed houses near by.

At least 12 people sustained minor burn injuries. They were admitted to hospital.

Youth’s body recovered

The police recovered the slaughtered body of an unidentified youth, wearing black trousers and a half-sleeve chequered shirt, from a ditch on Wednesday at Keraniganj in the city.

South Keraniganj sub-inspector Mohammad Humayun Kabir told the agency that the body was recovered from a ditch in Zianagar Kabutarpara area.

Five dead in Lahore blasts

Three bomb explosions in Pakistan’s eastern city of Lahore on Wednesday killed five people and wounded more than 100 others, officials said.
‘Five people were killed in the explosions, two of them suicide attacks,’ Punjab province police chief Tariq Saleem Dogar said.
Top local administration official Khusro Pervez told reporters in Lahore that more than 100 people were wounded in the attacks.

Train kills man walking down railway talking on mobile
